This was the explanation provided by Honeywell, there was as described even a second soltution :

“The problem is due to HR92 sending an Hourly info report, which will overwrite the EVOHome’s requested temperature for that zone (which is an issue if the temperature has just been changed in the EVOHome and hasn’t been communicated with the HR92 yet (due to 4min sync slots)).
The given solution will reschedule the hourly legacy info report to not interfere with the program. “

“The is also the second solution - to set the zone to a multi room in its parameters and then Evo won’t listen to the 1 hour info messages but nor will it be able to display a remote (HR92) setpoint change.”

Oohh, that's really useful, thanks - I have remote setpoint changes disabled anyway, cos otherwise our toddler would wreak havoc, so that'd be a helpful interim solution.

Keep in mind that a multi-room zone causes all HR92's in the zone to only use their built in temperature sensor. So you can't use this technique in any zone with a remote sensor like a DTS92 or the Evotouch itself. Unless you want to forego the use of the remote sensor and turn it into a pretty paperweight of course.

Also although the controller doesn't display a local override made at an HR92 in a multi-room zone, the local override does still take effect on that radiator and will still call for heat from the boiler. So it's not a substitute for setting local override to disabled if you have a toddler who is likely to twiddle the dial on the HR92.
