    iPhone & iPad

Wonder if anybody else is experiencing differences using the iPad and the iPhone. Of late I have often found using the app on the iPad and accessing schedules either to check or change can be slow and if I try to change a schedule more often than not the app exits itself. This does not happen on my iPhone. Both are running the same latest version of the IOS.

Given the iPad is just running the iPhone version of the app in "blow up" mode, it should be identical. Sorry to suggest the obvious, but have you uninstalled and reinstalled it?

My opinion about the app is that it is so clunky (I just hate the user interface choices they've made, and I never feel sure I'm doing things correctly) and unreliable (too many times I get the email hours later saying "the app failed to communicate properly") that I only ever use it to see how things are going, very rarely to make any changes.

Yes, done that a few times. It’s OK today.

Is the iPad older than the iPhone? If so, try switching off background app refresh.

It might make it more sprightly, and less likely to have connection issues.

That’s a thought. iPad was new April 2017, iPhone October 2017.

A 2017 iPad is perfectly fine.

Indeed. I was thinking that you might have an older device.

Same or different iOS version ?

To be honest I've found iOS11 very "crashy" compared to older versions of iOS. Quite a disappointment really even after multiple point releases. (And I can't believe in 11.2.5 they still haven't fixed the bug where text spills out of and below the "speech bubbles" in lock screen notifications - I guess Apple don't care about cosmetic problems anymore, as well as crashes ?)
