    2 x 1 way cct dilema

I am hoping someone can help … I have 2 separate 1 way lighting circuits,
which are fed along with others from the same lighting MCB.
They control outside lights (low current 2 x 15w low energy
fluorescent on 1cc and 1 x 15w on the other)

They both work happily enough … now her ladyship has decided that she
would prefer it if these were now on a single cct … and worked off
either a single sw, or both switches now worked as 2 way switching.

This is a right pain in the rear end as walls are long finished
painted etc, … and don't want to start chasing walls for cables.

One of the cct's is an X.10 controlled item, using a standard Din rail mounted AD10 module … if I had something I could fit to be effectively an X.10 relay, could I `slave' the 2nd cct off the first. (assuming having 2 units set to same X10 address will not be a problem)

The units are driven by a Comfort unit.

Anybody come across anything like this. ?

    Re: 2 x 1 way cct dilema

I've done something very similar in an instalation for a friend of mine. The easiest way is to use a two way X10 appliance module at the switch to control 1 lighting circuit, and for the other circuit use an X10 appliance module set to the same address. For the install I did I used an AWM2 Micromodule at the switch end. And then an AM12W wired Appliance Module on the other lighting circuit. The AWM2 apart from having a built in appliance module can also control another X10 module on another X10 address. This address is 1 more than the one for the appliance module. Setting the module up can be a bit of a pain as you need to have an X10 controller to send out the address to the module. If you want to be able to control them from the other switch the easiest solution would be to use another AWM2 module, (a bit of a waste as the module is only connected to the switch and nothing else) or use a TMA4 Micromodule this is just an X10 transmitter, and transmits only X10 on and off.
If you need any more help then contact me via this thread.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Sounds like an ideal answer to me - thanks I'll give it a go.
