Hi, I have 12 HR92 in my house. One of them has stopped working. Batteries changed and it looks fine but doesnt turn (or make noise) when it should or control radiator at all. Anyone able to suggest any basic checks I can do to get to root cause please? I have checked pin on radiator moves ok and have bled it bit nothing has worked yet.. Many thanks..
Evohome HR92 lights on but not working..

Have you checked the locking latch is securely clicked in the lock position ? If not, it will refuse to operate the motor, but will not log any errors.
Try clicking the latch back and forth between locked and unlocked a few times. Then give it a minute to see if it does its normal calibrate routine.
Also if you had removed the HR92 from the base ensure that the black wheel is turned fully anti-clockwise before reinstalling the HR92 and clicking the locking latch to the lock position.

I assumed you screwed it down so as not to damage the HR92 when attaching it (as the motor might be wound out).
The motor is directly attached to the tiny cog you can see in the bottom of the HR92 and can turn continuously in either direction when the base is removed. The limit stop is in the white/black base itself.
The cog on the motor engages the teeth on the inside of the black wheel which does move up and down a bit as the pin moves.
I think the main reason to unwind it is to allow the calibration routine to correctly sense the fully pin down position as it gives it a chance to wind from fully up to fully down. If it's already fully down when you fit it then it can't do that initial calibration.
I think once it has had a chance to go from fully closed to fully open back to fully closed due to schedule changes it will after a while calibrate itself even if you didn't wind out though.
