Default Possible to use cat5 splitter?

I was just wondering if KAT5 uses all 8 cables in the cat5 cable? The reason why I wonder is that I found an USB extender using cat5 cable and it only needs 4 cables. Would it be possible to have the two (USB and KAT5) using the same cat5 cable? Perhaps by using a cat5 splitter

    E.g. something like this

Uhum...I read the specs and if I understood it right the KAT5 uses a dedicated cat5 cable, meaning that I can't use it for the USB extender as well...

Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct, KAT5 uses all 4 pairs.
