This BB is for GeoVision PC based, multi-channel video surveillance equipment. Basically PCI cards and software to facilitate the connection of up to 16 cameras to a PC for intelligent control, monitoring and recording.
There are quite a few different types of cards available - check out www.rfconcepts.co.uk and www.geovision-uk.co.uk to see the different characteristics.
We are also ordering the cameras and accessories at the same time.

I'll probably wait another day or 2 seeing as I've only just posted the info on the forum. Or a bit longer depending on what replies I get.
After that I'd guess it'd be another week or so before I actually place the order with RF, as I need to collect the payments.
Even at that, I should be able to buy more at the same price after the original BB. It's just that we should get better prices first off with a larger bulk order, so please let me know asap if you are interested.
Yeah, I could be doing with more cams, or at least I will soon enough but I have a 4-port card ATM from http://www.y3kcctv.com/ which is okay I find.
Also their 20fps 16 port version is a LOT cheaper and whilst I realise that the GV cards are 50fps I'm wondering if it's really worth it for simple home security as we are taling a massive price differential here.

GeoVision have cards from under £100

It depends on the framerate and number of cameras. The software is another factor to consider...

If you don't want/need these type of features however there are of course lesser, cheaper products.

On the geo-650 8 cam . i am having very bad result on playback through the internet and it is not the bandwith. If i watch more than 1 camera at a time , it is much too slow to watch. It is set to 8 fps per camera.
Any ideas ?
Fish,
Any news on this bulk buy??
Cheers

Stephen - are we ready to roll now?
Thanks

Think Fish is at the CEDIA show this week.
Hopefully we can wrap it all up on his return.
Thanks
