Hardly ground breaking in the scheme of things.
The amp only outputs 18W which may not be enough, though the inclusion of SPDIF does mean you can connect your own amplifier.
But why is it din rail mounted, Its obviously intended to sit next to the miniserver. But mains and audio cables shouldn't really be in the same enclosure, so would mean another enclosure for the audio.
I think they have missed the point slightly. And it will be more of a background only audio source rather than a main audio source in rooms, like Sonos or Lithe Audio are.
I think they should have also introduced a ceiling speaker with built in stereo extension. Now that would would be interesting and make more sense.
The plus side is its cheapish. But not too sure about wiring speakers back to a centrally located hub.
