    HR92 noisy after 3 years

One of my HR92s that’s in the hallway has suddenly turned noisy when opening and closing. Do they just wear out after time? I have tried switching the heads and it’s the same. Havent tried changing the part that sits on the pin yet.

Maybe first check that the pin on the TRV body hasn't become stiff, requiring more torque and hence noise to operate

What do you mean by "switching the heads" - do you mean swapping the entire HR92 ?

If so it can't be a faulty HR92 if another HR92 in the same place is also just as noisy.

I agree with the suggestion to check the valve pin isn't seizing up. I've had that happen to me with some cheaper TRV valve bodies after about 2 years and I ended up replacing them with something better.

A squirt of WD40 into/around the pin works wonders too.
