    self employment

    Hi

Does anyone think it is possible to become self employed in this arena?
for instance automating a home network, installing kit in peoples homes, a bit like a digital plumber? Your views would be appreciated.

There are lots of Smart Home installers already.

You need to be properly trained though. www.cedia.co.uk is a good place to start.

      Hi Spider,

Absolutely this is the reason I set up our distrbutor serving the this industry.

IMO the Cedia end of the market is a bit crowded now and tends to be very cliquey. If you chose your market well then there is a good job, money and business out there selling and installing volume projects with developers.
