HN40 - Radiator valve power supply, anyone ever use this?

A while ago I converted by DHW CS92 sensor base to using a wired connection. I just branched out my Evohome wall mount's PSU and stepped the voltage down to 3.2V using a low noise regulator and fed that to battery terminals.
I didn't know that Honeywell actually made a HN40 that allowed you to run the HR80 radiator valve using a wired connection. Anyone ever use one of these?

I would make a couple of dummy AA batteries using 12mm wood dowel, put drawing pins in each end and wire to your external 3.2v PSU. Alternatively just solder a couple of wires onto the battery contacts.

Like I said, I did pretty much exactly that for the CS92. However I had no idea of the HN40 until yesterday
