I read today that buried in Apple’s HomePod Mini is a sensor that reads temperature and humidity. It is not yet activated and no doubt a software update will come for that but it opens the door to having humidity as one of the controlling factors for ensuring comfort from heating systems. 21C may be the desired temperature but it can feel hotter or colder depending on humidity levels. There is no doubt Apple will work it through HomeKit. An ideal opportunity for Honeywell to get on board with HomeKit for this sort of control is surely of far better use than optimisation and outside temperatures.
