    Interpreting RF Comms check results

I've been doing RF Comms checks on some of my devices after getting comms faults. That issue's resolved but I'm not sure I understand how the comms check works. I know how to go into the settings menu and find the check function, I know how to set the HR92 into RF Check mode. I then see the Evohome controller screen as per the attached photo. I couldn't see any difference when I tried a multiple zone.

Can someone explain what happens when (1) there are two or more HR92s in a zone (all, presumably set to RF check mode) and (2) when there is an HR92 plus a separate thermostat such as the Y87RF (which doesn't seem to have a way of setting RF check mode)?

    Thanks...
