    Default DTS92E - Battery Life

Would anyone with a DTS92E thermostat like to comment on the battery life they experience? I changed the last set about two months ago (Energizer Max), and the unit is already flashing low battery. I wrote the dates on the batteries because the last set didn't seem to last long. Contacts look clean.

    Thanks

I have one in most rooms - according to my spreadsheet the majority last had their batteries changed in January/March 2020 and are still going well. Many actuators date from that time (or before) as well.

    Thanks - as I expected.

Also, on the last change, it did not display the Sync message. It's working as a thermostat, but I can't use it to adjust target temperature.

Think I might be purchasing new one.

Alkalines in my DTS92 seem to last a couple of years.

They do have problems with the battery contacts though, if you thump it on the side and it reboots you might need to check the tension of the battery contacts both in the battery compartment and behind the PCB.

I presume then that the battery contacts are not soldered to the PCB?

I've not looked at disassembling - is it straight forward?

I get over 2 years quite easily. And these are with regular Costco alkaline batteries. Nothing fancy.
