    Evohome HR91

Hi, I have a Honeywell Evohome system with HR91 radiator thermostats.

I have one zone, DINING ROOM, which shows 22° although the target temperature is 18.5°. All the other zones keep within 0.5° of the target.

Any idea how this can happen and how do I fix it?

I have attached 2 screenshots showing the schedule and the zone view.

    Cheers Andrew

Do you have cold weather compensation with a 3.5 degree boost set up for this room only?

Is the radiator still hot to the touch after the target temperature has been reached? ie it's not cooling down?

Cold weather boost should show as an icon on the controller against the zones where is has been enabled and is active.

The fundamental question is - Is the controller calling for heat, or is the HR91 not closing the valve correctly, perhaps because it has not been installed correctly, or is not compatible with the valve.
To answer the first part, on the controller, long press on Settings (5ish seconds), and then look at System Summary. This will tell you if the zone is calling for heat.

If Boost was on the setpoint would be 22'C..

Is your radiator oversized for Room..

Do you need to balance the radiators?

Below is a non technical way of maybe finding a solution.
Try restricting flow in or out of radiator by closing valve at opposite end of TRV and then open quarter turn..
When TRV is open demanding heat if the radiator is heating up, great, wait couple of days to see how it goes, if temperature overshoot has stabilised, great.
If it is taking to much time heat up radiator and room, try 1/8 turn more. Repeat till OK.

Maybe your TRV valve is jammed open mechanically.

I couldn't see an icon against the zone. How does cold weather boost get set/unset?

The radiator valve has been working as expected for several months, so I think it was installed correctly.

I have deleted the zone and recreated it and will see what happens.

Are you on latest firmware ? should be 02.00.19.33

To check go to Settings --Device Settings press this for 15 seconds or so you can then see your current firmware version (apologies if you already know this)

I wonder why it is not updating to the latest.

There has been all sorts of suggestions as to why Resido have not automatically applied updates.

I think you will need to contact Resido and ask them to update, there are posts somewhere as to how to go about that ,I can only suggest you to a search on this platform or wait until someone comes along and provides the answer
