Poll :: Would a 'I-Buttons' Forum be a good idea?

I am interested in using ibuttons - http://www.ibutton.com/ for HA feedback (this is something which many HA's in the US have already done). To find out more about ibuttons see this overview here - http://www.ibutton.com/ibuttons/ Do you think a forum to discuss using these 1 wire watch battery sized measuring devices for HA purposes would be interesting?

    Regards Richard

Yes, i would be very interested.

My main interest will be to use the for security (unlocking doors)

I have found a "RSA iButton Lock Kit" for £35 at http://www.techsupplies.co.uk which looks very interestring.

Since http://www.cc-concepts.com/ stopped selling iLock, i havent seen any alternatives, until i googled Tech Supplies above.

I have done a lot of work with them over the years for various projects. You might be interested in the fact that www.dalsemi.com offer them as samples (all flavours) on-line .... and I have found you can keep going back and getting more :-)

I've also done iButtons locks and such for companies manufacturinf burglar alarms ... easier for there client to use rather than remembering a PIN number.
