    Hi Mark,

RS Components (http://rswww.com) has some Cat7.
p/n 386-7531 is in stock at £207+vat per 250m reel.

They also carry two other Cat7 cables, both on 500m reels, see p/n 419-5411 & 229-8287 but they're currently out of stock.

I couldn't see any Cat8 on their site though. Maybe try a distributor like Newey & Eyre? (http://www.neweyandeyre.co.uk/branches.asp).

    HTH,

    Tim.

        Hi Mark,

If you are in the trade we have CAT7 on 500m reels here in stock.

One question, why Cat7/8 for home networking? The only advantage it offers in being able to pass full band UHF across it. From a data and telecoms prospective it offers no advantage as the is no hardware available to use it to its full capacity.

Happy to talk further if you want, on or off line.
