    Where to buy?

I'm about ready to take the plunge and now need to find the best place to buy my C-Bus gear.

The only two places I currently know of that sell it in the UK are C-Bus Shop and Comfort but prices seem to vary wildly between the two sites.

Does anyone know of anywhere else? (I would possibly consider buying from abroad but only if the price was right after any tax/duties had been paid)

As an official C-Bus distributor, our prices are official Clipsal prices and shouldn't vary with other distributors and dealers. Please note that our website shows standard retail prices until logged in. Once signed in, the website would show the appropriate prices for the user name. ie. Retail, Trade and Integrator.

You may also like to consider that a host of new items are about to hit the streets.
Major relase in August in Australia, others to follow Q4.

      1. Colour touch Screens
      2. Version 3 C-Bus software
      3. Dynamic Labeling technology, Very fancy new switches.
      4. Multi-room Audio, controlled on a cbus network. Very nice.
      5. Lots of new/updated software to play with.
      6. Premise gateway. Basically a router with cbus and ethernet interface or your house on the web.
      7. Clipsal portal.
      8. Starserver Stereo modulator
      9. C-Bus specific switchboards.

      Cheers

Kwong Li, can you confirm that you or Clipsal are setting the prices that dealers/distributors sell their products for?

As I want to know whether it is worth my while shopping around?

        Thanks..

          Re: Where to buy?

We are one of the three official C-Bus distributors in the UK but do not get involved in setting prices. Clipsal UK call the shots on pricing.

It is always worth shopping around but bear in mind the service and support offered as well as the availability of products.

            Re: Where to buy?

            Hmm,

You are aware I am sure that EC and UK competition law prohibits an agreement between a retailer and a supplier under which the retailer agrees to resell goods or services either at a price fixed by the supplier or
above a minimum price level set by the supplier.

A supplier can issue non-binding RRPs for its products, or impose maximum prices above which its retailers or distributors may not resell the products. However, in each case the RRP or maximum retail price must not be a disguised minimum resale price or a fixed resale price. In particular, retailers must be allowed to resell products at prices below the RRPs or maximum resale prices.
