Logic 4 alarm -keeps going off when not activated - why ?

Please can someone help. Our Logic 4 alarm keeps going off during the middle of the night despite it being switched to the off position. Is there a simple fix and if not, as I am totally ignorant when it comes to electrics, how can I deactivate it completely.

Does it happen at the same time or is it random.
Have you possibly knocked a sensor.
Can you find out from the display on the unit (if it has one) what has set the alarm off, tamper or an actual sensor being triggered. Do you have a panic button anywhere in the house, it might be faulty.
Thats all I can think of at the moment.

It tends to go off in the early hours of the morning, between 2 and 6. The tamper light is not lit and yes we do have two panic buttons. Someone at work today mentioned that it could be the battery that sits in the unit losing charge and needing replacing - do you know if that may be a possibility ?

If the unit is mains powered, it is unlikely that a dodgy battery will cause any issues, certainly if the electronics are properly decoupled etc.

You don't have anyh unknown power outages during these hours ? No clocks need resetting or anything?

I did wonder if power surges may be to blame. I don't thinks it's outages since all the digital clocks are fine in the morning ?
