    App failure

    Anybody else experiencing an app + web site failure today? I checked the app on my mobile and the readings did not make sense to what they should. The same on other devices and also on the web site when I logged in. Changes in the app do nothing. The Control Panel though is right and works no problem. WiFi connections are displayed as solid, maximum bars shown. ? Website problems.

    Me too. I guess it's either a server failure, rogue hack or Honeywell staff turned off system accidentally for Xmas.

            I have noticed of late the app takes longer to load in. When it was working!

            You never know, it’s Christmas and as a present there may be a nice upgrade to the app coming.

                Back up again. My understanding is that the Android app was updated on 16 December 2021 so I'm suspicious that the fault lies there. If software it should have been thoroughly tested before release, and then released as Beta to be tested by a small number of users.

                If it was a hardware problem they should have back-up servers, preferably in different locations to avoid incidents such as this.

                Whether Hardware or Software it is, as I have already said, totally unacceptable for users to be faced with failures of this nature.

                Interesting that there has been no explanation or apology.

                    My app came alive again last night. All seemed OK but it is now 02:00 and I have woken up to hear my boiler firing up every so often. Checking the app I find two rooms have an override set until 07:00 that would cause the boiler to fire. Overnight rooms are now at 5C but not these two. They were set to 19c until 07:00 which is the next set point in their schedules. Nobody else set the override, it has happened of its own volition. They are not rooms normally overridden either. I have cancelled it and all seems back to normal. I found I had to log in to the app afresh as well. Peculiar. I don’t think we have a ghost!

                      Server was down from 10:18 CET. At 13:09 I received the first sign of life and was able to establish a session at 13:17 and retrieve data. This lasted until 13:22 and then it started returning errors intermittently - object moved (HTTP 302), Service Unavailable (HTTP 503). It's been up and down like that until 17:03 when it became stable.

                        It is extraordinary that Honeywell/Resideo ignore their customers and don’t tell us what is happening. Such an easy thing to do. Sadly if you trawl back through these pages Honeywell’s, or Resideo’s, lack of interest in its customers often arises.
